Champion Lakes Board Meeting 09/01/2004

Begin time 7:20PM.

 

Members in attendance include the Board, President Mike Kratz, and Architectural Committee Leader Stuart Mencher.

 

We talked about our water usage history to determine the amount of money to budget for watering. The City of Rowlett has significantly increased the cost of water from 2003 to 2004.

·        2003 cost for 231,400 gal was $526.61

·        2004 cost for 221,000 gal is now $806.95

Mike has an action to call the City of Rowlett and ask if we can a non-Profit rate for our water instead of commercial. – I called and the answer is NO. The city only has residential and commercial rates.

 

We looked at our bank account balance for the rest of the year. $5,299.78 and determined that we do not have the funds to pay another $800 water bill.  We talked about reducing the watering in Sept and stop watering completely in Oct thru the winter. – The day after the meeting I got Aug water bill for $288. That’s great news.

 

Jeremy at Excel, is now sending actual bank statements and good finical statements so we can better manage our finds.

 

We also talked about sending Violation notices to (3) homeowners regarding.

·        Boat

·        Yard not maintained

·        Yard not maintained

 

We reviewed and approved (3) architectural change requests from homeowners.
