Santistevan and Sherry Jones
I.
Finances
President
Bryon Santistevan opened the meeting by stating the current association balance
of $13,993.31.
April
expenses were as follows: Cut-N-Edge
$650.00
Excel Management $150.00
Utilities $415.45
Repairs $360.00
Administrative fees $158.96
Total
$1,734.41
Bryon
explained that utilities and repairs were higher than usual in April due to
some broken sprinkler pipes on the commons area of the property.
Our
May income was $1,685.75. We still have
15 homes that have not paid their 2006 dues, totaling $3654.00. Five homes paid dues in the month of May and
four home are in foreclosure. Two of the
homes in foreclosure have agreed to make payments.
II. Recreational vehicles
Bryon
explained that between Memorial Day and Labor Day boats would be allowed on the
weekends. They are to be removed by
Monday.
III. Architectural Committee
The
Architectural committee was discussed. Bryon ask for volunteers to serve on the
committee. These individuals are
responsible for siting violations and sending out notices accordingly. Homeowners Mike Kratz, T.J. Jones, Kay
McCalib, and Lelo Beene volunteered.
Lori Thompson said she would speak to her husband Dan about
volunteering.
At
this time Bryon is still in charge of sending out letters. He reported that 4 letters were sent in May
to homeowners along the creek reminding them to mow and that 3 of the 4 had
mowed.
IV. Watering Restrictions
Bryon
stated that Rowlett was in a drought season and that residents had been placed
under watering restrictions. Sherry
Jones read the restrictions from the notice the city had sent and confirmed
again that you may water before
V. Vehicles
Bryon
requested that if anyone sees any utility vehicles on the commons area at the
front of our property to write down the license plate #, truck #, and company
name on the vehicle. We believe that
these vehicles are breaking the sprinkler pipes and costing the association a
lot of money so your help would be welcomed.
VI. Questions and concerns
Percy
Bennett brought up the question of cars parked on the street. It was stated again that the association is limited
in what it can do to homeowners who park cars on the street. The streets are public streets and in the

but be aware Rowlett is in a Stage 3 water restriction. This means that watering
must be done between
DOGS
We have many dog lovers in our neighborhood. Please remember,
that in accordance with the
City ordinance and for the safety of all, dog
owners are to keep their pets on a leash and to clean up any pet feces that may
be left
behind.
TRASH
Unfortunately
trash has become a big issue in our neighborhood. Trash pick up is on Friday and according to
the city, cans are to be put out no earlier than 6:00pm the day prior to pick
up and taken off the street after trash has been picked up. Please help out by
picking up any trash you see in your yards and streets in front of your
home. Also, on my daily walks, I have
noticed that children waiting for busses will leave their trash at the
stops. Please remind your children that
their bus stop is someone else’s home and out of respect for others to please
take their trash with them.
We appreciate everyone’s efforts to make our
neighborhood an enjoyable place for us all!
Hope to see you at the meeting.
