called to order @ 7:00pm
Board
members in attendance Bryon Santistevan, Mike Kratz, and Sherry Jones.
I.
President
Byron Santistevan opened the meeting by discussing the state of the current
finances.

The
current outstanding balance is $16,404.80.
As of March 31, 2008 48 homes had not paid HOA dues this year. Dues were due by April 1, 2008 so hopefully
this balance will be much smaller by the end of April.
II.
Due
were due by April 1, 2008 please be sure to pay them if you have not already.
III.
Yard
of the month is back in action. Yard of
the month is chosen by the architectural committee based on appearance and maintenance. Winners receive a $25.00 Home Depot gift card
and the sign for one month. Congratulations to 8 Sailors for winning the March Yard of the
Month.
IV.
The
issue of trash cans on the street was discussed again. Trash day is on Friday. By city code trash cans can be placed at the
curb by 6:00pm on the day before pick-up and should be removed from the curb
after pick-up on Friday. Complaints
concerning this can be filed through the Rowlett city code officer.
V.
Boats
are not allowed in the HOA subdivision.
This is an HOA violation and homeowners can and will be fined $20 a day
for violation.
VI.
Eighteen
wheelers are not permitted in the neighborhood.
If you see and 18 wheeler in the neighborhood you are encouraged to call
the city for ticketing.
VII. In the month of May
homeowners can go to the Dallas County Appraisal district and contest their
taxes. Make sure to bring the proper
documentation (the documents you received when you purchased the house, square
footage, when it was built and prices of sale for comparable homes in the
neighborhood.) You can find more

VIII. New officers were
elected to the board. Ethan Margolis is
the new President, Mike Kratz is the remaining treasurer, and Christy Margolis
is the new secretary. Congratulations to
you all.
IX.
The
Board is still in need of volunteers for the Architectural Committee. 3 to 5 homeowners would be best.
X.
Elections
on May 10th were discussed.
Homeowners are strongly encouraged to investigate on this matter as it
will affect their taxes.
